And the Shepherd was right next to them. Explaining things. Telling them all would be well.

When they finally recognized him, he vanished. But they knew it was him.

Were not our hearts burning within us while he talked with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?

So often we read the Scriptures and miss the meaning. We miss seeing Jesus because we live in a different age, a completely different culture and way of thinking.
