Weekly Commentaries

The Roman Catholic lectionary, like its counterpart the Revised Common Lectionary, follows a three-year cycle of readings. We call these “Year A,” “Year B,” and “Year C.” Year A uses primarily Matthew’s gospel, Year B Mark’s, and Year C uses Luke.

The liturgical year begins in December, so the liturgical year spans two calendar years.

Year A (2025-2026)

Year B (2023-2024; 2026-2027)

Year C (2024-2025; 2027-2028)
